What we have been seeing recently of Kaabil was the lead pair Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam bonding and falling fond of the title song 'Kaabil Hoon' playing in the background. The romantic song had somewhere toned down the intensity of this aggressive revenge drama and the dark type of films that Gupta is known for.

However, Trailer home 2 reestablishes the type of the film and effectively juxtaposes the light moments with the dark ones. The trailer home starts on a dark note as Hrithik's character is seen vowing to become capable enough for Yami but his expression and the haunting background score claim that being kaabil or capable is no longer about preserving his wife but perhaps, avenging her death. There is a scar on his face which speaks amounts about how scarred he feels on the inside.

How the trailer home on from there is equally good. The dark tone of the trailer home gives you goosebumps and provide a view into the transformation that his character goes thru and turns into a vindictive lover. While some of the dialogues are cliched including the closing one and Roshan's blank expression does not help either. It is a given that the expression is a result of his blindness but he could consider taking a cue from Gautam who emotes superbly and projects her vulnerable self aptly. Her eyes remain without life, but all of those other faces share the mixed feeling of fear and satisfaction very well.

Rajesh Roshan, in addition, has rehashed the music of the title track and become a sad haunting version which plays in the background throughout the second trailer home. It complements the trailer home perfectly and leaves a powerful impression after the trailer home ends.

The ads and music of Kaabil have even got the attention of Tamil movie star Rajinikanth. He's been on great terms with the producer, Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan as they also co-starred in his father-in-law J. Om Prakash's crime drama Bhagwaan Dada which released in 1986. The film also starred Hrithik as a child artiste.

Bollywood Life reports anytime Rakesh called Rajinikanth to wish him on his 66th birthday on 12 November, the latter desired him luck for Kaabil and appreciated what he previously has seen so far. “I have viewed the Tamil, Hindi and Telugu trailers of Kaabil and I recently loved it. I also think Hrithik is stupendous. Please be sure he understands that we are desperately awaiting the film, inch he said, per the report by Bollywood Life.

Thalaiva also appreciated the music by Rajesh as he lauded the tracks of the title song Kaabil Hoon and Urvashi Rautela's item number Haseeno Ka Deewana.
